Society Hill
One
of Merrimack’s
most desirable communities, Society Hill has a personality all
its own. Built in 1988/89 by K. Hovnanian, Society Hill offers
each individual owner the ability to enjoy
a distinctive look, set apart from other units. Whether it’s
a brick front, vinyl sided, walk out lower level or a Garden
style with one or two baths, Society Hill probably has something
to match your desires. Comprised of 262 units, Society Hill boasts
one of the lowest renters to owner occupant ratios around. As
of April, 2004 only 11 units were being rented. Unlike
most other condo developments out there, Society Hill was not

Style units in any of the 3 floor high rise buildings range from
890 square

walk in closet and bath in the master suite. Each unit is complete
with large decks and their own major utilities (furnace/water
heater) as well as laundry
rooms in each unit. All major appliances operate on natural gas.
All floor plans are dominated with an open concept design. Some
of these are even available with working fireplaces and central
air in most.
Each
townhouse was built with 2 bedrooms and 2.5 baths and are available
with walkout
sliders, garages or concrete slabs. Square footage in these units
ranges from 1200 square feet to over 2000. Smaller units (if
you consider 1200-1600 sq ft small) are available with one bedroom
hosting a full and the other a æ bath with laundry facilities
in between the two. The only time your laundry need go downstairs
is when you are wearing it. All gas appliances including stoves,
dryers, furnaces and water heaters make for energy efficient
living and reduced reliance on electricity.
Too
numerous to list are the floor plan
designs with the kitchens
located
everywhere from front to back, left and right, eat
in and breakfast nook. You’ll just have to call me to see what

to buy. Oversized windows add to the bright interiors and many
have finished lower levels
to enhance the pleasure of living worry free. Over the years
some converted dens to additional
bedrooms and others have even added baths.
The
premium townhouses with their elegant fascias feature one
car garages on the ground level with an additional 300 square
feet of space in the basement. These are massive 1660 square
foot units with
eat in kitchens, pantries, closets galore and 2 bedrooms with
2.5 baths and a den on the 2nd floor. As with the
rest, these too are open concept designs favoring those who like
to entertain or live large.
All townhouse units
offer additional storage via pull down steps or scuttles into
the attic.
The grounds of
Society Hill are impeccably maintained and meticulously cared
for year round. The tennis courts and pool, as well as the clubhouse
are all there to add to the experience of living the worry free
lifestyle that one expects at Society Hill. The property is managed
